E-Business Suite Upgrade Impact Analysis, Change Automation & Control

13th September 2022 (18:00 UK / 13:00 EST / 10:00 PST)

As part of the OATUG EBS Upgrade week, we will be presenting the following, please use the details below to join.

Increase automation and take the risk and unknowns out of upgrading the E-Business Suite. With the right software application E-Business Suite customizations (CEMLIs) can be identified in a matter of minutes then perform code line level analysis to show how and where the customizations will be impacted as well as how to correct the code.

Although they are an important part, upgrades are not just about handling the customizations. Change can be introduced across all areas, hence the need to perform multiple upgrade iterations to ensure you can reliably perform the production upgrade within the allowable downtime window and minimize risk to the business.

In addition to the CEMLI analysis, the same application can also be used to document settings (BR100s) pre and post upgrade, compare settings across different versions / environments / entities, automate migration / loading of configuration settings, track changes at each stage and review / report user access / segregation of duties violations and so on.

This presentation will provide an introduction to how software applications can be used to save time, cost and risk at all stages of the upgrade process.

Oracle Cloud Applications: Flexible Configuration Loading, Reporting and Compares

Wednesday 21st September (17:00 UK / 12:00 EDT / 09:00 PDT)

Hosted by OATUG we will be presenting the following session, please feel free to join us.

Flexibility to target and load specific setup is key in any Oracle Fusion (SaaS) Cloud applications implementation, roll out, release cycle, upgrade / patch cycle etc. ConfigSnapshot puts this flexibility in your hands in a matter of minutes.

ConfigSnapshot is a unique tool developed over the past 20 years to provide comprehensive yet flexible and agile control around the E-Business Suite and SaaS Cloud applications. Used in all stages of the application lifecycles, it quickly finds and tracks change across patch levels, environments / pods, business entities and time. Using ConfigSnapshot you have clear concise visibility of change, putting you in control of it. You can then be more proactive, drive and automate changes across environments / pods, business entities, updates etc using ConfigSnapshot.

Hundreds of organisations globally use ConfigSnapshot today to support a wide range of requirements including generation of documentation (BR100s / MC050 etc), identification of EBS customisations, upgrade / patch impact analysis, comparisons across environment, entities, versions and time, automation of setup creation and migration (including migrations from EBS to Cloud), change tracking and user access / segregation of duties reporting etc.

During this session we will outline the various areas of the ConfigSnapshot functionality used to manage, control and automate change in the SaaS Cloud Applications. We will then focus on the setup loading / migration functionality and provide a product demonstration. The session should be of interest to all users of the Fusion (SaaS) Cloud Applications.
