Oracle Fusion / SaaS Cloud Patch Impact Analysis with ConfigSnapshot - 14th April 9:00 UK Time

14th April 2021 - 9:00 AM UK

Oracle Cloud Applications are a comprehensive, flexible suite of interlinked applications designed to support your core business process needs today and tomorrow. Like your business, it will continue to expand and adapt to the everchanging business environments we work in. This continuous evolution is critical for continued business success and growth, but brings with it, challenges that that need to be suitably addressed. Cloud is kept updated through a quarterly patching cycle. The application of the patches is managed and controlled by Oracle and are generally applied to a Test pod for user testing, then two weeks later to Production. All changes must be reviewed and tested prior to the production patch application.

ConfigSnapshot for Cloud enables you to, very quickly, get a clear user-friendly view of the changes being introduced via the patching cycles, including new fields in existing setups, new / modified seeded records, changes to user access / roles, new / modified profile options or other configuration items. Having that clear, concise, business context view of the changes in your pods then allows you to focus and prioritise where the review / testing must be performed.

This presentation will take you through an overview of the various areas of the ConfigSnapshot for Cloud functionality and how it can be used to identify the impact of patching (quarterly and other). The session will include a product demonstration so you can see just how easy managing, controlling and even automating changes can be in Cloud.
